http://charitydispatch.com/news/2009/03/04/car-donation-powe...
Goodwill Industries has come up with an innovative and helpful new program, one that is meant to put people in homes and provide a life to local communities all over the United States. It is a program patterned after many of the best charitable efforts in the country and offers a similar objective as one previously carried out by The American Red Cross. The “Wish Program”, as it is being called, seeks to grant families their ultimate wish – a suitable home.

http://charitydispatch.com/goodwill_donation/news/2009/03/07...
Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana, Inc. was started in the early 1940s. During their history in the region, they have grown from two employees in the beginning to over 600 employees currently. Their income is over $20 million - money that is needed. They started with no programs to help those less fortunate in the Southeastern Louisiana region, but they now have 13 programs - everything from job training to job placement assistance. All the programs cost money, though.

Business Expense Reduction
http://www.expensereduction.biz/
Quite simply, we work on a contingency-based model; this means that payment for our cost management and reduction services is contingent upon our success. If we are unsuccessful in our attempts to reduce your expenses, it costs you nothing. If we successfully cut your costs, our fee is based on a share of what is saved.

Big Donations Not Limited to Vehicles
http://charitydispatch.com/news/2009/03/03/big-donations-not...
In the last few months, profitable organizations have done their absolute best to solicit donations from just about everyone. One of the primary focuses over the past decade has been vehicle donation. Charities like Goodwill Industries and The American Red Cross have found it much easier to get the most out of big donations of this kind than they have out of smaller donations. With that in mind, they have set out their primary advertising budget to let people know about the benefits of charitable auto donation.

Goodwill of Greater Washington Goes the Distance
http://charitydispatch.com/goodwill_donation/news/2009/03/06...
Goodwill of Greater Washington was incorporated as Goodwill Industries of Washington, DC in 1935 by social worker Elizabeth Murray and six other community leaders. It had taken five years to put together, but the dream of helping people via a local Goodwill Industries organization was finally a reality in the nation’s capital. The actual legal name of the organization is the Davis Memorial Goodwill Industries - because of a $100,000 donation in 1939 by Anne Hubbard Davis.

Preparing For Disasters (Tornadoes)
http://charitydispatch.com/redcross_donation/news/2009/03/25...
Yesterday, I wrote about some things you could do to prepare for flooding in your area. Today, I want to write about tornadoes. Tornadoes can be far more frightening than floods, but careful preparation can significantly reduce the risk of harm to your family. Your local Chapter of The American Red Cross can provide advice more specific to conditions in your area.

The Nuts and Bolts of Vehicle Donation: What You Need
http://charitydispatch.com/news/2009/03/22/the-nuts-and-bolt...
Making the decision to donate your car to charity is only the start of things. Though it may have taken you a while to come to the conclusion that vehicle donation was the route you wanted to go, the process is somewhat complicated and still requires you to diligently look after some small and some not so small details. When we consider car donation, we need to think about the things that you absolutely have to get done. These are certain items that you will need before you can get started.

Vehicle Donations Needed More Than Ever
http://charitydispatch.com/goodwill_donation/news/2009/03/27...
Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska was started in 1932 by Miss Eleanor T. Miller after she returned from Boston where she saw the original Goodwill Industries in operation. She brought the idea to Nebraska and the area has benefited from the Goodwill Industries philosophy of “a help up, not a hand out” since then.

The Importance Of Giving Blood
http://charitydispatch.com/redcross_donation/news/2009/04/03...
All donations to charity make a difference, whether they consist of money, clothing, cars, or simply some time spent volunteering. While every donation is equally important, today I would like to focus more specifically upon the importance of giving blood. Most healthy people who are at least 17 years old, and weigh over 110 pounds are eligible to give blood every 56 days. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule so it may be worth either phoning or emailing your local Chapter of The American Red Cross in order to check your eligibility.
