One such startup is "Next New Networks" which is based in New York and is backed by former executives of MTV and Nickelodeon. They plan to develop a series of video-oriented websites, what they call micro-networks. These micro-networks are based on niche topics like do-it-yourself fashion, comic books etc etc.
