France providing naval escorts off Somalia - SomaliNet News
29 / 5
http://somalinet.com/news/world/Somalia/13020
It looks like the French navy is helping with the Somali pirate situation. It seemed like the pirates were able to act with impunity since Somalia has no navy. Finally something has been worked out. Good. Join discussion...

Racking up Another Missile Defense Success
39 / 2

This one is for the Ground Based system, which frankly needed the success. It hasn't been nearly as well off as the Aegis system, so this is very encouraging. Also, a nice thumb of the nose to the North Koreans, Chinese, Iranians, Russians, and every other freedom hating country. Join discussion...

Algeria, China teamed on nuke
29 / 3
http://washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/200709...
One of those "why am I hearing this for the first time?" stories. Apparently the Algerians are already light years ahead of Iran, Libya, Syria (way ahead of Syria, after Israel's recent foray), and other "rogue-ish" nations. And almost all of this is thanks to China. The nuclear genie is way out of the bag; we're not trying to CON-tain it anymore, but rather RE-tain it from getting into some of the above mentioned sensitive countries. And another thing: Thank goodness the first Bush administration isn't around anymore (though I may still wish for them if other certain groups get elected). The length to which they went to appease China is astounding. By my count of the top of my head, we have now sacrificed Sudanese Christians, the Algerian Nuclear program, a P3 Spy plane, and nuclear weapon technology, to avoid offending the Chinese. For what exactly? Bad dog food? Join discussion...

Looking for love in all the wrong places - Mark Steyn
27 / 6
http://www.ocregister.com/opinion/patrick-fritz-gov-1845647-...
According to Deval Patrick, governor of Massachusetts, at a commemoration ceremony, 9/11 "was a failure of human beings to understand each other, to learn to love each other." Whether any of the victims family members present Tuesday were offended by Gov. Patrick, no one cried "Shame!" or walked out on the ceremony. Americans are generally respectful of their political eminences, no matter how little they deserve it. Join discussion...

The buzz in pro-terrorist circles is that a whole generation of jihadists has been wiped out. The funeral industry in the Arab countries where most jihadists originate is booming. Join discussion...
