#1 Bah, I'm kinda getting old of all these tutorials. Give a user instrutcions on how to use the package manager in X distro, and then the list off the applications that make it a "perfect desktop" for you.

#1 Songbird is freakin' sweet! I've been using it on and off since the 0.2 release (yes, that /was/ a long time ago).

#2 mmm, sorta. Remember that deal with Novell and how Red Hat refused? They are going to provide "protection" to Novell and tell everyone to use "Genuine Microsoft Certified Linux" instead of that "worthless" Red Hat crap.

#1 In your opinion, which is better: this or ClamAV? (with KlamAV installed, of course ;)

#1 Way cool. I'm running etch as I write this. I have been looking for alternatives to Ubuntu lately because of stability problems with 7.04. Debian seemed like a good choice, and boy was I right. I absolutely love it. The quality control is amazing, so everything works the way it's supposed to.
The installer (have used both the text based and the gui beta) is MUCH easier than what it used to be. I remember my dad trying to install Debian years ago, and he could never do it. Now I, a 16 year old, am able to install a terrific, "hard to use" desktop relatively easily. Even so, a Windows installer is still cool. Will have to try it out some time...

phew... long comment (or seams so)

#2 Yeah, I like that comment on the blog: time to install linux!!!

Xubuntu works especially well on old hardware, and if even it doesn't run (like not enough memory), you can always use a Fluxbox distro instead!

#1 Seeing how this just made Digg's front page, it's kinda strange why here it only has 2 votes at the time of this comment. (falko's and mine).

#1 Did I just hear secure and Microsoft in the same sentence? ;)

Hmmm, I don't think I'll use it though, even if I did actually like Microsoft. I get my email from Runbox.com, and besides getting 10gb of email storage, I also get 1 gig of file storage via ftp.

#1 Wubi is such an awesome tool for anyone who hasn't ever tried Linux, and so easy to use too. Almost like you didn't even need to post this ;)

Just kidding...

#1 Wow, very cool.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this may be the first time that online image editing has ever been attempted. Is this true?

#1 This is a great guide, but you need to have mp3 support (LAME) installed to convert it to mp3. Does PCLinuxOS have this already installed? I know many distros don't because of licensing.

Maybe a guide on how to install MP3 on linux would be helpful for us falko.

#1 Wow, thanks so much for this. Like most Linux users, I also dual boot, so any down-to-earth guide about grub is extremely useful.

#1 Cool alternatives, but I'd go for LaTeX over a word processor any day :)

#1 Whatever happened to D? And why do a lot of them just stop? I still use Ruby.

#1 Normally I would rank this down because I don't want to support Windows (any), but seeing how Windows users may want to experiment running Linux, I will rank this one up.
