Why You Should Not Implement Google +1 Button
http://www.standingdog.com/blog/why-you-should-not-implement...
Google recently introduced the Google +1 button for websites, which is their way of competing with the Facebook Like button. While the idea is good, Google's implementation of the Google +1 button is unacceptable and not up to par with today's standards.

Paravirtualization With Xen On CentOS 5.6 (x86_64)
http://www.howtoforge.com/paravirtualization-with-xen-on-cen...
This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions on how to install Xen (version 3.0.3) on a CentOS 5.6 (x86_64) system. Xen lets you create guest operating systems (*nix operating systems like Linux and FreeBSD), so called "virtual machines" or domUs, under a host operating system (dom0). Using Xen you can separate your applications into different virtual machines that are totally independent from each other, but still use the same hardware.

VBoxHeadless - Running Virtual Machines With VirtualBox 4.0 On A Headless Ubuntu 11.04 Server
http://www.howtoforge.com/vboxheadless-running-virtual-machi...
This guide explains how you can run virtual machines with VirtualBox 4.0 on a headless Ubuntu 11.04 server. Normally you use the VirtualBox GUI to manage your virtual machines, but a server does not have a desktop environment. Fortunately, VirtualBox comes with a tool called VBoxHeadless that allows you to connect to the virtual machines over a remote desktop connection, so there's no need for the VirtualBox GUI.

Conde Nast Purchases 285 Reddit Domain Names
http://www.billhartzer.com/pages/big-reddit-changes-coming-c...
When large groups of domain names are purchased such as the one I came across today, most of the time it indicates that the company purchasing them has major plans in the works. That happened today, when I was alerted to the fact that Conde Nast Digital, the folks behind the popular Reddit website, purchased a few hundred domain names. These are not just ordinary Reddit domain names, they all include Reddit in the domain, and there are 285 of them. In my opinion, something interesting is going to be happening soon with the Reddit brand.
