While most of us try our best to avoid getting too worked up while we’re driving down the road, it seems that nearly all of us have that one pet peeve that will push us over the edge and turn a mundane commute into a terrible case of road rage, action packed full of swearing, hand gestures and white-knuckled driving.

This boycott will do nothing but shift the date you purchase gas and not reduce the amount of gas you use. Instead of buying into the hype and forwarding the boycott email, reply-all to the email and remind everyone to drive less, check their tire pressure, slow down, etc., and then maybe we'll reduce demand for gas enough so that prices will drop

Thanks to the recent run-up in gas prices, our email accounts have become cluttered with chain emails asking us to boycott major gas stations on a certain date in the future in an attempt to "cripple" Big Oil. This is a ridiculous idea and anyone with a quasi-functional brain knows it won't work.

When asked, “How high will gas prices need to get before you drastically alter the amount of driving you do?” 42% of respondents stated that they had already altered their driving, 25% said they would alter their driving at $4 per gallon, 20% stated they would alter their driving at greater than $5 and 13% said they would alter their driving at $5

New Mexican Democrat Senators Jeff Bingaman and Pete Domenici, the chairman and ranking member, respectively, of the State Energy and National Resources Committee, have introduced legislation that calls for a 45% reduction of gasoline consumption by 2030.

Just remember, you have the advantage. They [the company] want to make you happy and keep you as a customer. The reason being, it ’s cheaper to make you happy and keep you as a customer than it is to go out and find another customer.
