This whole participatory web stuff is just in its infancy. In the last year or so there has been an explosion in the use of sites like YouTube, Wikipedia and Photobucket by the mass audience. No longer is Web 2.0 the domain of the uber web elite.

The folks from Opera, Mozilla, and Google certainly were certainly bullish on the near term outlook of web browser technology, Javascript, web applications, and the emerging mobile and non-traditional browser technology.

Check the Toronto arm of the Global Warming alleycat bike race that took place last month in Toronto. While these dude were racing, similar legs of the event were happening simultaneously in NY, San Fran, and Mexico City. If you like courier races this is a pretty decent video.
