I really do like the site so far. My only gripe is the way threaded comments are displayed. I always thought that each parent comment that is replied to should have its own conversational box. Its easier on the eye and it keeps conversations very neatly displayed. What do you think? I will post a comment to show you an example of this.

A kind of YouTube for e-books, Scribd lets you view documents online and share your own documents with the world.
The site makes getting content very easy, and like a fast food hamburger, you can get it the way you want. It lets you upload a Word document and download it as html or PDF or text. You can even use a text-to-speech tool to create an audio file, so you can download it to an iPod.

This short guide describes how you can configure your GNOME desktop to display various icons such as My Computer, Network Servers, Trash, etc. on the desktop. By default, these items are placed on one of the panels (Trash) or hidden in the Places menu. Having these icons on the desktop is useful if you switch from a Windows desktop to a GNOME desktop and are used to having them on the desktop.

Yet these days the Frisbee-shaped rock in the Arctic is much in demand -- so much so that Canada and Denmark have both staked their claim to it with flags and warships.

Yahoo Widgets Engine is an interesting application developed by Yahoo that helps Windows and Mac OSX owners place widgets on their desktops. The widgets represent tiny tools with an attractive interface able to add a simple function or to display only one type of information (CPU info, weather, calendar), being based on the main platform designed by the company. It's a simple device that does a basic job well... and with a lot of style, of course. Some odd interface choices and the lack of a "Buy It Now" option are frustrating, but all in all its a winner. If you don't have HD service in your neighborhood, an Apple TV may still make an HDTV set worthwhile.
