A collection of Portable Freeware Apps.
http://www.portablefreeware.com
This is a site dedicated to cataloging Windows applications that are both "portable" (capable of running straight from the downloaded file, or after extracting a few files to a single folder), and "freeware" (no charge for individual users to download and make use of the applications).
This site also watches out for programs that may leave settings in the Windows registry, or other actions. Even if an app is removed for those reasons, it may still be found in the news section of the site.
