Is it true we face the first ever iPod virus. The little bugger was apparently discovered by Kaspersky Lab, and is called Potloso. "The virus is a file which can be launched and run on an iPod. It should be stressed that in order for the virus to function, Linux has to be installed on the iPod. If the virus is installed to the iPod by the user, the virus then installs itself to the folder which contains program demo versions. Podloso cannot be launched automatically without user involvement," K Join discussion...

The new open-source e-mail client Thunderbird 2.0 RC1 will be available across 35 languages on three platforms, including Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. In addition, full Vista support has been built into the client for the first time. Users would be able to use tags and saved folders, much like the labels feature within Gmail, and the saved folders feature within Mac OS X's Mail client. This would make pulling up information on a specific topic much faster than searching by keyword. Join discussion...

Some versions of Windows XP and Microsoft Office have already expired. But fortunately, Microsoft already has set up solutions in place to offer users an alternative. Taking it one step at a time, the first product that expired as of April 1 2007 is Windows XP Service Pack 2. However, this is a special case associated with the IE6 Virtual PC Image. The original IE6 Virtual PC Image was released at the end of November 2006. Join discussion...
