YSlow is a FireFox add-on from Yahoo that you can use to help analyze the performance of your web site and determine why your web pages are slow to load based on the rules for high performance web sites. I really think that the Periodic Table of the Internet is a very creative way to browse some of the most popular web sites out there on the net. Just like the real periodic table for the elements, this table lists a bunch of web sites grouped together with similar “properties”. Of course, a periodic table cannot be complete unless it has the atomic mass of the element and so this table uses the rank of the web page as it’s “mass”.

Looks like Microsoft is entering the mobile search market to compete against rival Google with it’s recent acquisition of Tellme, a free 411-type of service to find local business listings, maps, directions, restaurant reviews, sports, weather, stock quotes, movie listings, travel info, news, etc either through text messaging or by voice recognition.
