Tom's Hardware SOLD (1 comment, +4 / -25 votes )
Avg: Agree
#1 Wow, why'd this get so many negative votes? I hope it's not because the website covering it is "The Inquirer" -- not to be mistaken for the tabloid magazine "The National Inquirer". This seems more newsworthy than a 3/25 vote ratio... *shrug*

#1 Bloody hell, I submitted before verifying--this is a link to the front page of MSNBC. :( Disregard.

#2 Yeah, the whole mother site is loaded with fun stuff... Initial look is misleading (design is horrible), but if you dig around, you'll find lots of things to keep you busy.

#1 Good read, but a bit shorter than I would have expected.

#1 Note that when you are on the last page of registration, you must check a box agreeing to their privacy policy; just below this box is a blurb indicating that you agree to receive advertising from them and their partners via email.

#1 There is some really good advice hidden in many of the posts linked herein.

#2 Grrr... I guess we can't use HTML in our comments...

#1 Nice article, except you "linked" to the blog front page, instead of the actual article. Which means that, as time goes by, the blog post will no longer be found at the actual link above...

Here's the actual link to the article.

UPEI Cadre - Its Future (3 comments, +26 / -4 votes )

#3 Call me a skeptic, but is there seriously 25 people who even know what UPEI stands for (without looking it up)? Frankly, I'm pretty surprised to see the "popularity" for something such as this in a relatively small community...

#1 Most of these are good writing tips in general, not necessarily just for blogging.

#1 I misread the article when I wrote the title for this... the release is RC1, not final!

#1 Basically an ad for proxies, including the one offered at the same website as the article. Too spammy for me, sorry.

#2 Excellent... I'll add that information to my profile of you for stalking later... JK.

As an aside, thanks liquidboy, for not summarizing on your own blog and submitting here, nothing is more annoying than clicking through from here, to someone's personal blog, then on to someone else's blog, etc.

#5 Heh, I hadn't bothered to click through, I just assumed it was crap (NSFW or otherwise). We seriously need some way to block users from showing up at all... Then I could drop this person and a couple others who just repost to their own blog then submit those links here.

#3 ROFL, NSFW? Big tits didn't tip you off? ;P

We need a "report spam" link.

#2 Frankly, I don't see this as news, or as interesting. I left Digg because of the above, I'm not interested in listening to someone without enough common sense to do the same whine about the quality of news on Digg.

If my favorite restaurant went down the tubes in quality and service, I sure as hell wouldn't go there as often (if at all), so why should websites be any different?

#2 Beat me to it Shiny. I was thinking maybe they were re-releasing, or making a PC release, or something new--two paragraphs in, I looked back up at the date just to make sure I wasn't missing something...

Waste of my time.
