It is known widely as beets, which belongs to the order Caryophyllales of class Magnoliopsida, under the division of Magnoliophyta from Kingdom Plantae. It is a root vegetable with edible roots and edible green tops. It is considered to have the highest natural sugar content of any vegetable but low in calories.
