5 months, 1 week, 14 hours agoThe poison comes from the 13 spines on it's dorsal area which release the venom from two sacs attached to each spine. The venom causes severe pain with possible shock, paralysis and tissue death depending on the depth of the penetration and it can be fatal if not treated within 2-3 hours.
