This is due to its picturesque combination of plains and mountains and globally notable beaches and diving sites. It is a first class province in the Philippines situated on the southwestern part of Luzon in the CALABARZON region. It is the home of the world’s smallest active volcano which is Taal Volcano with an elevation of 600 meters. It is bordered by the provinces of Cavite and Laguna to the north, Quezon to the east, Mindoro to the south across the Verde Island Passages, and to the west is South China Sea.
