Prison libraries touch on all three of those issues, and in many places, what reading material prisoners have access to and whether they’re permitted to read at all has been a hot-button topic, bringing up quite a bit of fervor on both sides.

40 Best Books About Human Rights
http://www.accreditedonlinecolleges.org/blog/2011/40-best-bo...
It may be something of a cliché, but college still stands as a period when many discover the world outside themselves. Professors, other students and special guests might very well introduce them to some of the injustices committed everywhere from their own neighborhoods to the furthest nations. Human rights obviously cover a far wider expanse of issues than room allows for here. But the following 40 can certainly help a budding (or even experienced!) activist either get started or better hone knowledge!

http://www.onlinecolleges.net/2011/10/18/10-best-selling-col...
When you think of best-selling books, the first thing that comes to mind probably isn’t textbooks. While they might not be selling in the hundreds of millions like some of the other best-selling classics out there (or, let’s be honest, have the widespread appeal), there are many textbooks that have had some pretty impressive sales over the past few decades, in all their various editions. With so many colleges using them and so many students buying them, chances are good that you’ll run across one of these top sellers at some point during your college career. If not, you may just want to check out what all the hubbub is about, and grab a copy at your school’s library to do some supplemental reading.

15 Books Every New Father Should Read
http://www.mastersinhealthcare.com/blog/2011/15-books-every-...
On one level, it’s impossible for a man to totally prepare for the experience of fatherhood. At best, you can buy supplies and prepare by telling yourself that, no matter what, things are probably going to get crazy. But even if it’s not feasible to understood the magnitude of parenting until the situation is upon you, it is possible to do your homework and read first-hand accounts from men who’ve done their time in the trenches with dirty diapers. Granted, reading a book about parenting and thinking you’re prepared is a lot like reading a sex-ed primer and then landing a hot date: application is a whole lot trickier (and more interesting) than theory. But these books are still some of the best places to get the info you’ll need, and new or expectant fathers would be wise to buy them, bookmark them, and live by their example.
