The 8 Easiest Languages for English Speakers to Learn
http://www.onlinecollege.org/2012/01/29/the-8-easiest-langua...
On an increasingly international planet, multilingualism is fast becoming a desired trait in employees, meaning today's college students enjoy an advantage if their degree plans require a second (or even third!) language. English speakers in America particularly find this possibility challenging, as far too many schools downplay the importance of learning to speak something additional. Fortunately, those who feel as if the system failed them in this regard can still pick up a foreign language relatively quickly. The 10 Most Notoriously Difficult Languages to Learn
http://www.accreditedonlinecolleges.com/blog/2011/the-10-mos...
Labeling a language "difficult" carries with it both a high degree of subjectivity as well as some rather unfortunate implications regarding cultural relativity and suppression. In truth, everything hinges on how much time and effort a student puts into her or his language acquisition — not to mention the relation (or, as it were, lack thereof) between their mother tongue and the newcomer in many cases. They’re all equally hard if slacking is the name of the game and equally easy if one possesses enough tenacity, so try not to take this list as anything even one iota formal or definitive.
