The carefully GOP manipulated TV coverage of the RNC Wednesday night was an interesting sociological snapshot of the base of supporters physically present.
You would have thought that some of the nationally known speakers - Meg Whitman, founder of that small little company E-Bay and Carly Fiorina, former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard were giving a speech to themselves inside a closet when talking of GOP reform and prosperity in the future - absolutely NO response what-so-ever from the convention hall packed audience. Truly astonishing, because some issues discussed to be accomplished by the potential McCain Presidency were out there and on the far side.

I'm not sure, "I think--I'll have my staff get to you," ... when asked how many homes John McCain and wife Cindy own. What kind of reality is that? Don't you dare take the American People for blooming idiots John McCain- because that will destroy what little credibility you have left faster than a Enron lie!

Does the United States now elect slackers who abuse their privilege of representing this nation by NOT fulfilling their duties in Congress, so they can run for higher office? Or do complacent voters just neglect these facts and further contribute to this compounded problem by simply turning their cheek the other way? Pretty disgusting if you ask me either way- that any U.S. Congressman or U.S. Senator has the impudence to "expect" from American citizens to respect them and their potential future leadership in higher office, when in turn they do NOT deserve the current Congressional seat they are occupying by not performing their existing Constitutional obligation... NOT consequential enough for complacent voters is anyone's guess.

Now that the race is officially on (OK, Keyes hasn't dropped out yet, but he can't win anyway), John McCain has the sticky business of picking a vice president. This is extremely important, especially this year because of his age. Even if he's healthy, we want a strong VP just in case. Additionally, the VP usually ends up becoming the presidential nominee for his party.
