It feels like yesterday that anti-gay lobbies burst out to the streets to hold a torch-lit demonstration protesting against homosexuality. And it feels like yesterday that religion created homophobia; because it certainly did.
It all started with the Biblical bans.
Then, it continued with the radical views of Christian anti-gay groups.
And it went even further.
The question, however, remains:
Should religion have a say in the public conduct of people?
The answer is obviously not.

According to the Houston Chronicle, 26 year-old Terry Mark Mangum believed he was doing the work of the Christian god when he killed a gay man in a bar last month. " ... I believe with all my heart that I was doing the right thing."
