Wouldn’t it be nice if Microsoft didn’t try always try to make you use their software for everything that you want to do on Windows? One of the things that annoys me the most is the fact that the default mailto clients can only be Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird, etc, basically programs which have to be installed on your computer in order to work.

As you know, you have up to 2GB worth of space and that’s a large amount of space to fill up with just emails. I have to say that I really didn’t understand why Steve Rubel from over at MicroPersuasion was so crazy about GMail until I read his post on what you convert Google’s GMail into! I thought I was pretty slick using bookmarks, fancy RSS readers, and Google Notebook to keep track of all of the info I found interesting on the web, but alas there is a better way!
