Currently eight of the world's 10 tallest skyscrapers are in Asia. The present reigning champ among skyscrapers globally is Taiwan's Taipei 101, a structure that soars 509 meters (1,671 ft). Next up is the monstrously high Burj Dubai, a tower complex slated to reach 800 meters (2624 ft.) in height and easily blow by Taipei 101 as the world's tallest building when it is completed in late 2008.
