A friend of mine named Chris tells me that no one ever really wants to talk to an attorney until it's necessary, and I suppose he's right. I hadn't seen him in almost two months, and here I was, asking for his advice when it came to personal injury attorney business building. Two weeks ago, I sat down to lunch with Julie, my attorney and friend who just happens to work almost exclusively with DUI cases. Figuring that if anyone would help me she would so I took the time to ask her about how she looks at DUI attorney business building and what techniques she would like to see more people use. On December 10th the Supreme Court decided two companion cases that essentially hold that the Federal Sentencing guidelines really are just guidelines. In other words, the sentencing court, after giving them consideration, is free to disregard them and impose the sentence the court thinks is appropriate in a given case.
