Recently, however, a new trait has come to light to add to the long, esteemed list: Atheism. Despite being widely known, there has been very little in the way of explanation proposed for this phenomena.

I definitely enjoyed the article, but its pure speculation. I've read someplace that the higher the IQ, the less someone believes in the idea of God. The idea of God is just one of those things that has been passed down generations to explain the unexplainable.
