Submitted by Sabre 31 months, 2 weeks, 1 day, 15 hours ago Having already done a Hub on "The Best Female Fighters In The History of Video Games" and seeing some were disappointed that their favorites weren't included, I thought I would take the fighting games individually and list some of the most prominent female characters. Starting out with arguably the most popular video game franchise (at least in fighting games) ever, Street Fighter. Street Fighter was released by video game developer Capcom in 1987. This video game franchise not only includes games, but also films, cartoons, anime, manga, card games and role-playing games. The 1987 arcade game didn't have any women on it, we had to wait until Street Fighter II to start seeing the ladies.
