In research published Friday in The Lancet magazine, Professor David Nutt of Britain's Bristol University and colleagues proposed a new framework for the classification of harmful substances, based on the actual risks posed to society. Their ranking listed alcohol and tobacco among the top

Yet, a smoker can smoke and drive quite safely, however the same cannot be said about someone who just had a couple of joints or ectasy.
And yes, I know some people who've been smoking pot all their lives can arguably have a joint and still drive safely, but still, can you say they can drive more clearly than someone who just had a cigarrette? BTW I'm not defending nor attacking any substance in particular - just pointing what seem to be simple facts. I won't argue that a 1 packaday tobacco smoker may be harming his health (and others) more than someone who has 3-8 joints a day, but I don't think the study is considering all facts. Also, I believe that if alcohol is the cause of 1/2 of visits to the ER it has a lot to do with the fact that you can legally buy and consume alcohol almost anywhere. So I'm not sure what conclusion should one get out of this. That we should ban tobacco? Legalize ectasy? The thing is, none of this stuff is good for your health. #9 - By loveyourearth, 16 months, 4 days ago.
i definitely agree with this topic. it is medically proved that continuous consuming of tobacco is dangerous to health.

Yups, i agree with this topic, because the smokers are more dangers than drugs they poisoned people who are living among them, and most of them are children.

Drug articles are always negative. WTF? Everyone's been so conditioned to think that drugs are bad, but they aren't. They just aren't bad. Like everything else, they're somewhere in the middle. I've had wonderful experiences with every drug I've taken.
