People always confuse these two conditions of heel and use them interchangeably as if both are one and the same. However both the conditions are not exactly the same but they are related to each other. Plantar fasciitis is the pain, which is present there in the plantar fascia; the plantar fascia is that muscle of the foot, which makes the arch of the foot. On the contrary to the plantar fascia a heel spur is the growth of the calcium that can be found on the foot bone. In the seventy percent cases of plantar fascia there have found heel spur.
