Finally i can ditch my flash development and really get into the programing that im accoustomed to, microsoft way. Im a .net developer and coding for silverlight "just makes sense" to me. BUT i won't fully ditch flash. It has many features that silverlight wont have on launch, but for the most part it will suffice for my clients! Great job Microsoft!

Flash already has to big of a market share to be stopped, atleast for a very long time.

don't underestimate the millions of .net developers out there. Microsoft have a base of developers that could well make silverlight a leading provider of web advertising animations in a years time.
I can only speak for myself but when it comes to coding i prefer using .net technologies over flash's action script. I can create 3 equivalent animations in silverlight in the space of 1 animation in flash. It's just too easy for a .net programmer to pick up silverlight versus flash. | |
