60 months, 3 weeks, 4 days, 19 hours agoI first heard about homemade detergents at Homesteading Today. The benefits of homemade laundry detergent goes beyond the financial savings. Your skin will appreciate that you are subjecting it to fewer chemicals, and your washer will have less to goop up the drains. I haven’t made these exact recipes, because washing soda is not sold in my local stores. I have used 2 tablespoons finely grated Zote soap instead of laundry detergent, and I find it works fine for my regular loads.
