Bactroban possesses bacteriostatic action against the majority of microorganisms that cause dermatological infections. Bactroban reversibly and specifically binds to isoleucyl tRNA synthetase (isoleucyl-transfer RNA synthetase), which leads to suppression of protein synthesis in the bacterial cell
