If we take a look at the periodic table of elements, Rubidium is a chemical element with the symbol Rb and atomic weight of 37. Its name was derived from the word "rubidus" which means deepest red. Although it is described as a soft, silvery-white metal, it gives a reddish-violet color to a flame, hence its name. It was recorded to have a melting point of 390C or equivalent to 1020F and a boiling point of 6880C or equivalent to 1,2700F. Read details at http://www.helium.com/items/1352179
