With technology changing at such a rapid pace, especially computer technology, you may end up with a computer that is only a year old, yet obsolete in terms of speed and performance. Now there is the camp of people that proudly have 3, 4 or 5 year old computers and boast that they have no qualms or issues with their systems. This may be true because the “obsoleteness” of a computer does depend on the type of computer user, advanced or casual.

Yeah, I like that comment on the blog: time to install linux!!!

Xubuntu works especially well on old hardware, and if even it doesn't run (like not enough memory), you can always use a Fluxbox distro instead!
